Terms of Service

Last updated: April 22, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ScoutGov (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

Who we are

“ScoutGov,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to the operator of the Service. ScoutGov is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. government. SAM.gov is the official source of truth for federal contracting opportunities.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. You’re responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

Free and paid plans

  • Free tier. The free plan is offered as-is with the limits described on our pricing page. Limits may change over time.
  • Pro plan. Pro is billed annually in advance. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Refunds. If you’re not satisfied within 30 days of a paid subscription, email us for a full refund.
  • Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which you’re responsible for.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems.
  • Resell, sublicense, or bulk-scrape the Service or its output except as expressly permitted.
  • Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or harassing communications.

AI assistant (MCP) access

Pro users may connect AI assistants through OAuth. You’re responsible for the assistants you authorize and the actions they take on your behalf within the scopes you approve. You can revoke access at any time from your account settings.

Your content

You retain ownership of the business information and content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the Service.

SAM.gov data and no warranty on matches

Opportunity data is provided by SAM.gov and is offered “as-is.” Match scores, recommendations, and eligibility explanations are informational only and not legal or procurement advice. Always verify opportunities and requirements on SAM.gov and consult qualified advisors before making business decisions.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, belongs to ScoutGov or its licensors. Except for the limited rights we grant in these Terms, no rights are granted by implication.

Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute resolution) will survive.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any opportunity information is complete or current.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScoutGov will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or revenue, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ScoutGov harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If changes are material we’ll notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ScoutGov is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes, except where prohibited by applicable law.
